There are two types of modelling in supply chain :
1. Descriptive Modelling.
2. prescriptive Modelling
Descriptive Modelling:
a) forecasting of demand using quantitative and qualitative forecasting models.
b)collection of data and data mining.
c) activity based costing( ABC analysis)
d)performance metrics.
prescriptive modelling:
a) using the optimizations methods using simplex, duplex method of mathematical programming.
